Sunday – September 5th:
MEET: Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail (Leaving from Boulware Springs)
(directions below)
TIME: Meet at 8:00 am, depart by 8:10 am.
PARK: In any lot you wish. We will depart from the dirt lot nearest NE 15th St.
Expect 31 miles at about 15 MPH on the flats.
As always: helmets are mandatory, mirrors are recommended.
LoBees will obey all Florida cycling laws, a listing of which may be found here: http://gccfla.org/laws.html
To get to the Boulware Springs dirt lot:
From the intersection of Waldo Road (24/331) and University Ave (26), proceed East on University for about a quarter mile, the road forks, take the right fork, which is Hawthorne Rd. (20), in about another block take a right (going south) on SE 15th st., continue south for about 2.25 miles until you see the brown Gainesville Hawthorne Trail sign on your right. Pass the first entrance to the park, but enter the second entrance a few hundred feet further south.
Please call or email with any questions.
Thanks… Bob

Sunday – September 5th:
The LoBees will share a ride with the HiBees (see below) and then meet for the Labor Day Picnic
On Labor Day, we plan to do a ride that is in the 35-40 mile range starting at Boulware Springs, heading out through town to Lakeshore Drive and around to SR 26 and out to CR 1469 a few miles past Orange Heights; turning south to CR 1474 and going west to Windsor and south on CR 234 to the GHT where we will haul butt back in to take part in the Labor Day Picnic.
We will be meeting at Boulware Springs, in the upper dirt parking lot at 9:00am and rolling out at 9:15am. We should have plenty of time to ride and return in time for the picnic.
I would also like to invite any of the LoBees and TweenBees or any other form of Bee to join in on our ride. The distance and pace should be compatible.
