On Sunday February 24, Strays will ride 34 miles in the Palatka area.

Its been a year since the last Cracker Swamp ride, so its time to do it again.

Bring $1 to enter Ravine Gardens park after the main ride, and bike 1.8 miles through the pretty gardens full of blooming Azaleas.

Arrive at Ravine Gardens parking lot at 10 am to depart at 10:15 am.

Weather looks to be decent for the ride. On the plus side, todays rains should prevent the dust storms that plagued us last year. No guarantees on the winds though.

Speed 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 12 - 14 mph in recent times. This ride is quite flat, with the exception of the bridge crossing the St. Johns river.

There will be a convenience store / rest room stop at about 20 miles in to the ride.

Post ride the hungry will head to a restaurant for lunch, most likely Southwell's Restaurant.

No pace lines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

Safety  protocols  are  always  observed on Strays rides

To get to Ravine Gardens park in Palatka:
Driving Directions:
Probably the best way from Gainesville to the Ravine Gardens is to take 20 (Hawthorne Road) to Moseley Avenue, which is about 45 miles, turn south onto Moseley Avenue, then turn east onto Twigg Street. Ravine Garden will be about a quarter mile on the right. Park in the lot outside the park.
