Strays will join Jeanne and Barb on Sunday
for a ride of about 30 miles in the Palatka area.
You can park outside the Ravine Park and pay no entry fee. This is the usual start point for the ride. http://www.floridastateparks.org/ravinegardens/
If you have not been out riding with the Strays before you will need to read all of the information at: http://gccfla.org/cgi-bin/webridedetail.cgi?groupid=8 Questions: Rob Wilt 386-418-3794 From: Jeanne Hargrave <biknjeanne@xxxxxxx> To: nullview@xxxxxxxxx; chanbike@xxxxxxx; diann@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; mjkoken@xxxxxxx Cc: bmbates@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sun, Feb 20, 2011 12:33 pm Subject: Ride from Ravine State Gardens in Palatka If anybody would like to post this ride for next Sunday ...here's the info. SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 10:00am, ride from Ravine State Gardens. 30ish
miles of quiet, back roads east of Palatka. From Gainesville, take SR 20
into Palatka. Turn right on Moseley Av. and go 0.4 mile to Twigg St. and
turn left. Watch for small brown signs pointing to Ravine State
Gardens. Park in the lot in front of the park on Twigg St. Bring $1.00 to
enter the park on your bicycle. You should do this at the end of your
ride. Hopefully the Azaleas will be awakened by the warm week ahead.
Wouldn't hurt to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park, or you can buy
a sandwich at the nearby Subway. This is a joint NFBC/GCC club ride. Let's
see who has the most attending. Slower than Chandler ride sweeps or Barbara
Bates and Jeanne Hargrave. Jeanne can also fix a flat.
