There will be a
San
Felasco work day this Saturday, July
8 . We'll need all the help we can get, as we have
many
tasks to do , as well as
the usual mowing, chain sawing, and trail grooming - it's growing season
now! .
So please come out to help this Saturday!
( For anyone wishing
to
meet at the HQ as usual (directions below) to help get equipment organized,
please be there no later than 8:30 am. )
If it is easier or closer
for
you to go to the bike trailhead (off 441 just south of Alachua), be
there
promptly at 9 am. We will then coordinate both work
crews.
Workday will be from 9 am - noon, and
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!
All trails are maintained entirely by
volunteers, so please come out and spare a couple hours of your time this
Saturday to help keep these trails some of the finest in the state!!
If you have any hand tools, line trimmers,
chain
saws, etc please bring them. Don't forget your safety glasses and
long
pants if you plan to operate a saw. Otherwise, just bring yourself -
there
are plenty of tools to go around. Don't forget bug spray, sunscreen
and
water!
Call or email if you have any questions or
need
further details - and thanks in advance for your willingness to
volunteer!
