This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, May 9, 2009

Time: 8:00 am meeting, 8:15 am departure

Meeting Place: Let’s start in Micanopy. We’ll meet in the downtown area and park there.

Route and Mileage: We’ll do a ride through Flemington, Fairfield, Reddick, Orange Lake, Boardman, Evinston and back to Micanopy. I haven’t figured the mileage yet, but I will tailor the ride to make it come out around 40 miles or so. The wildflowers are outstanding in that area and are supposed to be at their peak right now; so it should be a colorful ride.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16 MPH; a little faster based on terrain and slower on climbs. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.
