Just to let those of you who are interested (bought or thought about buying) in my breast cancer jersey saga, there are two websites you can take a look at:
www.cscrb.org
gunnisontetwp.com

both these organizations will have used the jersey in silent auctions by the end of this week, to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness/education/detection/research.
The first one is an organization at UF started by seven young women scientists determined to get a seed grant to do research into what's known as triple negative breast cancer.  The second one is part of a "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" campaign in Colorado, to raise funds for local breast cancer programs, such as free or lowcost mammograms for low income women.  Two of the jerseys with matching gloves were auctioned in Crested Butte on Tuesday night, July 16.  Another jersey will be auctioned this Saturday night,
the 18th, at CSCRB's fundraising gala at the new cancer and genetics research complex on the UF campus.  Tickets are available thru their website.
I am considering placing another jersey order in August.  If you know of anyone who might be interested in getting one, please forward this email on to him/her.

I plan to order both men's and women's jerseys (women's in short sleeved and in sleeveless).  I expect the prices to be the same as in the last three orders: $65 for short sleeved, $60 for sleeveless.  Once I get the order sent in, it takes 8-10 weeks to receive the jerseys; I hope to get the order in so that we can have them in time for breast cancer awareness month, October.  I also still have a few on hand from the last order; just last night, two young women bought  jerseys to wear at a triathlon on Amelia Island on Saturday.  If you want to see what sizes I have available, or need any additional information, please feel free to email or call me.

I want to thank all of you who have supported me in this endeavor by purchasing a jersey.  As a breast cancer survivor, these jerseys have helped fulfill my dream of helping other women in some small way in their fights against this disease.  At this time, I expect all future proceeds from the sale of the jerseys to go to the CSCRB at UF.  Much research has been done and continues to be done, but so far very little is known about triple negative breast cancer and how best to treat it.

thanks much!!!!
