On Saturday June 20, Strays will ride about 33 - 36 miles starting from the apt of ride leader Allen Kushner, to Grove Park and back. This ride will take in a route to the GHT via roads in south Gainesville, and part of the GHT itself, culminating in Grove Park.

Arrive at the apt of Allen Kushner at 8 am to depart at 8:10. Park as near the apt/car as possible, the car is a dark Red Saturn sedan (no bike rack).

The Sunrise apt complex is on the west side of SW 23rd Terrace, about 3/4 of a mile south of Archer Rd and about 3/4 mile north of Williston Rd. Go straight in past the pool, the apt will be on the left.

Post ride there will be an opportunity for anyone interested to swim in the apt pool, eat lunch and enjoy some refreshments. There are mens and womens bathrooms at the pool, and the pool is right across the street from the apt. Bring your own towel and a folding chair. There are chairs at the pool, but bringing your own guarantees a seat. Bring something to eat and drink and they can be placed in the frig during the ride.

Alcohol is allowed, but please don't bring any glass items to the pool area.

Speed 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 12 - 13 mph
in recent times. This ride is mostly flat.

There will be at least one convenience store / rest room stop at the mid point in the ride. If
necessary we can make other stops.

NO pace lines, NO racing, NO wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones and music makers FORBIDDEN.
