I've been asked (or drafted, or I volunteered) to lead an off-road ride
on the gentle trails within O'Leno State Park at this Saturday's
annual Chilly Chili picnic.
The trails in the park that we'll
be on are mostly jeep trail, but there is one interesting, but easy peasy,
chunk of singletrack in there. We'll also get to ride on a stretch of
the old Bellamy Road, the first federal highway constructed in the state of
Florida. And we'll squeeze in a geology lesson too.
We'll meet in the parking lot at the park at 9:15 for a 9:30-ish
start. We should be back in plenty of time for the food.

Remember the Emeril Legasse chili recipe I've brought the past
couple of years? It will be making a return appearance. And there will be
Habanero-Cheddar Corn Muffins, too.
You'll have to wait for the
next picnic for your banana pudding fix.
Questions? E-mail me. (Except I don't know the ride distance. Trust
me, it's not a long or very hard ride.)

Looking forward to seeing how well my GPS
works up there in the woods.
