GCC's Hokey Pokey group will ride the Horsefarm 100's  25 mile route on Saturday, Aug. 1.   This is one of the most beautiful rides in Florida, going past pastures and horsefarms.

The group will meet at Flemington Park at 8:15 a.m. with a ride departure time of 8:30 a.m.  Directions to Flemington are below.

It would be helpful for riders to print a map of both the 25 and 30 mile routes of the Horsefarm 100.  These maps can be found on the GCC website.  If someone could print several maps, that would be good (both my printer and my computer are having problems right now).  The route is marked on the pavement with pastel green arrows painted on the road along the route.

Everyone is welcome is come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Flemington Park:
From US 441:    Take US 441 south.  As you approach Micanopy, take CR 234 south.   Continue south on CR 234 (CR 234 becomes CR 329 at the Marion County line) for approx 8 miles, Flemington Park is on the right, about 1/4 mile before the intersection of CR 318 and CR 329.

From I-75:   Take I-75 south.  Exit I-75 at Exit 368 (CR 318 exit).  Go west on CR 318 for 4 miles and turn right (north) onto CR 329. Flemington Park is 1/4 mile north on the left.
