This Monday
(Labor Day) the LoBees will accompany the HiBee ride previously announced
by Mike Steinberg (see below). Bob Hello HighBees and other Bees. We did a ride last Saturday that
included other than HighBees and it was a great success. It was a good ride
of just under 50 miles through some beautiful areas of Marion County and
ended up with getting pizza at Blue Highway in Micanopy. Good
ride…good food! On Labor Day, we plan to do a ride that is in
the 35-40 mile range starting at Boulware Springs, heading out through town
to Lakeshore Drive and around to SR 26 and out to CR 1469 a few miles past
Orange Heights; turning south to CR 1474 and going west to Windsor and
south on CR 234 to the GHT where we will haul butt back in to take part in
the Labor Day Picnic. We will be meeting at Boulware Springs, in the
upper dirt parking lot at 9:00am and rolling out at 9:15am. We should have
plenty of time to ride and return in time for the picnic. I know I haven’t posted
Saturday’s ride yet, but I wanted to get the Labor Day ride posted so
that folks could make their plans accordingly. I would also like to invite
any of the LoBees and TweenBees or any other form of Bee to join in on our
ride. The distance and pace should be compatible. I don’t mean to
usurp Bob Newman’s role regarding the LoBees by extending the
invitation, and I checked with him first before sending this.
I think it will be a fun day and I look forward
to seeing a lot of you there. Mike To
