This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, October 17^th    

Time: 9:00am meeting, 9:10 departure Note: Change of usual meeting time due to the fact that Gator Growl is Friday night, so those attending will have time to get enough sleep before the ride. We should still get back in plenty of time for the Gator game on Saturday at 3:30pm.

Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of Publix at Steeplechase, on Newberry Road at NW 143^rd Street in the Jonesville area. We’ll meet in the southern part of the parking lot just east of SunTrust so we are out of the way of the parking for those shopping.

Route and Mileage: We will do a modified version of the Pre-Columbian ride going up 241 to 94^th Avenue then up 235 to 235A and up to Traxler. We’ll stop there and then go up 1491 to 241, turn south on CR 241 to Alachua and down 241 to Jonesville. The total should be about 43 miles. If the group wants to add a few more miles we can go to Worthington Springs and then down 239 into Alachua.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
