Saturday the LoBees will ride with the Tween Bees (see announcement below).  The Tween Bee route will be 26 miles, the LoBees will have a longer option if desired.  PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE START TIME & LOCATION.

MEET: In the Wachovia Bank parking lot across the street from the Chevron station at Millhopper Rd. & 43^rd St.

TIME: Meet at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 departure.

Expect about 26-30 miles at about 14-15 MPH on the flats. 

As always: helmets are mandatory, mirrors are recommended.

“Please join the Tween Bees for a fun and festive Jingle Bell Ride this Saturday, Dec.18th at 9:45 am (10:00 am roll-out). Park in the Wachovia Bank parking lot across the street from the Chevron at 43rd and 53rd. We'll ride a 26-mile route at 14-15 mph and end the ride with a festive drink at the Starbucks located behind the bank. Be sure you or your bike are decked out for the season--there may be prizes”!

MEET: Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail (Leaving from Boulware Springs)

TIME: Meet at 10:00 am, depart by 10:10 am.

PARK: In any lot you wish.  We will depart from the dirt lot nearest NE 15^th St.

Expect 31 miles at about 15 MPH on the flats.

To get to the Boulware Springs dirt lot:

From the intersection of Waldo Road (24/331) and University Ave (26), proceed East on University for about a quarter mile, the road forks, take the right fork, which is Hawthorne Rd. (20), in about another block take a right (going south) on SE 15th st., continue south for about 2.25 miles until you see the brown Gainesville Hawthorne Trail sign on your right. Pass the first entrance to the park, but enter the second entrance a few hundred feet further south.
