Saturday July 1 Strays will depart from Velvet Yates' home for a 36 - 38 mile ride through Alachua and High Springs.
 
Meet at 7:45 am for an 8 am departure.
 
Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 13-14 mph in recent times.
This ride is mostly flat, but there are a couple of decent hills to climb.
 
There will be three rest room / convenience store opportunities, at about the 8, 19 and 29 mile points on the ride.
 
Post ride the hungry will head to a local restaurant for lunch, probably  the Uptown Cafe.
 
No pacelines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social ride.
 
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

This ride will start from the home of Velvet Yates. 
 To get to Velvet's place, go north on 121 (NW 34th St.) past 441 for 6.7 miles. A yellow diamond shaped sign will appear announcing the intersection with NW 156th Ave., and you will see Roger's Produce stand on the left and a blinking light above the intersection. Turn right (east) on to  340 (NW 156th Ave.), continue on 340 for a half mile. The house will be on the right (3425 NW 156th Ave) as you near the top of the hill.
Park in the dirt driveway or front yard.
