North Rides

MEET: At the Chevron station on the corner of NW 43^rd St and 53^rd Ave.

PARK: In the Chevron station, along NW 43^rd St. Start at the north end and work south.  Do not park in the slots alongside the station or along NW 53^rd Ave. DO NOT use the business lots east of the Chevron on Saturdays.  Overflow parking is along the short east-west street south of the station.  Please watch where you are standing; do not block the flow of traffic going to the pumps.

TIME: Meet at 8 am (EDT), ride briefing and introductions at 8:10, depart at the conclusion of the briefing.

THE PLAN:   Fanning Springs 45 miles.  This is a one-way ride to the park on the Suwannee River.  You will need $2 to enter the park.  There is a store stop in Trenton 31 miles out.  Please RSVP ASAP for the picnic to Chandler, chanbike@xxxxxxx.  Include your choice of meal:

MENU choose one or more 

• Ham, turkey and Swiss cheese on sub roll
• Ham, salami and provolone cheese on a sub roll
• Bratwurst - Johnsonville Brats plus bun
• Hot dogs - assortment of all beet hot dogs, including Oscar Meyer, Nathans and Angus dogs and buns

Send a side dish, towel, and a change of clothes with your ride home.  The park entry fee for you car is $4 (one person), $6 more than one in the car.  You might find goggles useful in the spring.

MEET: At the Kangaroo on the NW corner of SW 34^th St and Williston Road.

PARK: At the south east end of the Publix parking lot, closer to 34^th than the stores.

TIME: Meet at 8 am (EDT), ride briefing and introductions at 8:10, depart at the conclusion of the briefing.
