Thursday November 2, Strays (sometimes known as
the
Fireflies) will meet at the Devil's Millhopper entrance
gate, near the intersection of NW 43rd st and Millhopper Road, at
around
6:15 pm, to ride out on Millhopper Rd., to 241 and back (total 14
miles).
DO NOT attend this ride
unless
you have full LEGAL lighting and reflectors for night
riding, OR if you have never been in a group
ride, NOR
ridden at night before. This ride will be entirely in the dark,
and
sometimes there is tree debris in the bike path, particularly after a
storm. (5
watts minimum headlight for safe riding)
Black is not a good jersey color for night riding ! Absolutely
no
non-GCC riders allowed !
If you drive to the ride, you can park at the Chevron
Station at
Millhopper and NW 43rd. Please observe all considerations for the
business and do not block pumps, and use only the parking spaces
along
the NW 43rd st. side of the station.
Ride start will be about 6:30 pm, from the Devil's
Millhopper entrance gate, which is about a quarter mile west of the
Chevron
Station on the north side of Millhopper Road.
There will be a rest stop at the mid point (241), but no convenience
store
or rest room.
No pace lines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun safe
ride.
Helmets are REQUIRED on all
Strays
rides, mirrors recommended,
headphones
forbidden.
