Hi all,
As posted, the Pedalers will be joining the EZ Riders to
explore a new trail system as described below by George Edwards. I
have
room for two riders with their bikes in my van. I plan to leave at
8am
from my house at 5015 NW 19th Pl. If interested, email or
call
378-7063.
FYI……..I will be in no hurry to get
back
to Gville.

This Saturday 30 October the EZ Riders will explore the completed portion
of
the Palatka-Lake Butler State Trail near Keystone Heights. Supposedly
there are connected sections amounting to about 15 miles or more of
finished
trail, if you count the 5.5 miles of sidepath out to Gold Head Branch State
Park and back. We can ride as much of the Trail as we choose, and
have
lunch after at the good BBQ in town. Meet at the Twin Lakes Trailhead
on
S. Twin Lakes Road off SR 100 a couple of miles South of Keystone Heights
(towards Palatka). Plan for a 9:00 AM departure.
It takes me about 40 minutes to get to the Keystone Heights airport, going
East
on 26 to Melrose, and then North on 21 to Keystone. At the light in
Keystone turn Right on 100 toward Palatka, and look for Twin Lakes Road on
your
Left after a couple of miles. We will have the yellow truck.
Bring water, etc., and expect anything. My cell is 514.2443, in case
you
get lost, or in case we do.
Cheers,
George
