Strays still aren't sure what this sign along  Rachel Blvd. (2054) references, but we are intrigued!

Saturday September 1, Strays will ride about 28 - 30 miles in the Lacrosse, Hainesworth and Alachua areas. Included will be several paved side roads and a tour through the Temple of the Universe, and maybe a visit to the Cellon Oak (if any rider hasn't already seen it).

Arrive at Velvet Yates home at 8:15 am for an 8:30 departure.  We should be through before noon.

Average speed has typically been 12 - 14 mph in recent times for the Strays.  This ride is relatively flat, except for the hill heading in to Alachua, and the hill at Woodlawn Oaks.

There will two rest room / convenience store stops on this ride.

No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Post ride the hungry can enjoy a picnic lunch under the big oak tree in Velvets yard.
Bring a sandwich or whatever, and a drink, to put in the frig.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

Safety  protocols  are  always  observed on Strays rides
