Some local
businesses are obtaining commercial emailing lists to send emails to
persons who may be interested in their products and services. The
technology out in the world today allows them to get highly targeted lists,
so for example, you would not expect to get an email for a quilting show
unless you are into quilting. As most of you will have left bicycling
footprints in many places on the web, when a local bike store buys a list,
there’s a good chance your email address will be on
it. When a responsible business uses this technology, their
email will have a facility to easily remove your name from their
list. This is the case with the email sent out by Bike Works
yesterday that many (but not all) of you received. If you
didn’t get one, but would like to (it has a coupon for a discount on
bike fits), send email to adcousins@xxxxxxxxx. Of course, if you got
it and don’t want any more, please use the SafeUnsubscribe button in
the email. Roger Pierce Webmaster,
