I was cycling on Millhopper
Rd
yesterday, mid-afternoon, by myself in the bike lane, when a small, 4-dr,
newer-model, cherry red pickup truck slowed down and drove along
beside
me. A male passenger leaned way out the window and shouted somthing
that
sounded like (not sure): "Dog behind you" or "I'm behind you." My response
was
to try to ignore him, so I didn't look at him or respond verbally. I did
look in
my rearview mirror, and didn't see anything. I also watched the side of the
truck, to be sure the driver didn't edge into the bike lane, which he did
not.
After the passenger shouted several times, when I didn't respond, the
driver
accelerated away. The tone of voice seemed friendly rather than
theatening,
but I'm not sure. I don't know what this interaction was about, just
sending this as an fyi, in case anyone else encounters this
truck.
