Now if the other law enforcement agencies in Alachua County like GPD, ASO and UPD were as vigiliant as it appears they'll be on GHT in downtown Gainesville would that be an amazing feat. I see so many cyclists running stop signs, riding the wrong way on a one-way street, using headphones while riding (which is illegal in the state of Florida) among other things.

However there was recent BPAB Law enforcement workshop last week http://runbikewalk.com/2008/03/19/bpab-law-enforcement-workshop-tues-apr-1st/http://runbikewalk.com/2008/03/19/bpab-law-enforcement-workshop-tues-apr-1st/

I was at Bike FL along with several other GCC members and missed it. Did anyone from the club attend?

Nope, it is all there.  Perhaps there were too many words.  Here is a briefer version:  Run a stop sign on the GHT, expect an expensive ticket.

You are welcome.

Cheers,

George

George, you should explain yourself a little better. The email sounds like you're giving us half the story.

Read it again, you'll see what I mean.

Subject: GCCMail: Stop Signs

Dear Friends:

If you fail to stop at any stop sign on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail
at any time over the next many months, you should not be surprised to be
the recipient of a very  expensive traffic citation for your moving
violation.  I doubt you would get away with only a warning.

George
