Hi Everyone,

We will have an off-road ride this Saturday, February 7, at San Felasco.  Meet at the bike trailhead, off SR 441 just south of Alachua. The ride will start at 9 am, so be there and ready to ride by that time.  Distance and pace depends on who shows up, but we typically have a faster, intermediate, and not so fast group.  All levels and skills are welcome.  For novice riders, you will have someone to ride with, and we will wait at all the turns so you will not get dropped. This is a good opportunity to become familiar with the trails at San Felasco for riders who have yet to explore the park. Last weekend's ride was quite cold but still lots of fun, thanks to those who came out to ride!

On Sunday, February 8 there will be a group of mountain bikers meeting at the Santos Trailhead (near Ocala) at 9am, ready to ride by 915am.  (see map at: http://omba.org/index.php/Trailhead-Locations.html). The plan is to ride approximately 40 miles on the cross-country trails out to past the I-75 Landbridge to the 49th Ave trails. The majority of these trails are flat, fast, and non-technical. This is a ride for those interested in training for endurance mountain bike events as well as bikers wanting a faster fitness-type ride, expect an average pace of 10+mph. If you decide to join us, please let me know ahead of time so I know who will be meeting us at the trailhead.

Please note there will be no off-road rides posted for next weekend, I will be out of town, riding the 50 mile Croom Mountain Bike Challenge on Saturday. If anyone else would like to organize a ride, please do so.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or call.

Hope to see you this weekend!
