I am helping the Florida Camp for Youth with Diabetes sell their old road bikes to raise money to buy some new hybrid bikes for the camp.  I coach the bicycle portion of the camp for one week each summer.

They have about 10 to 15 old road bikes from the late 1970's to mid 1980's.    We are pricing them at $25 up to $199.     There is one Univega with a very nice frame (23"....58 cm)   and at least one vintage 3-speed in excellent condition.  The rest are basic road bikes from the early 1980's.

Caveat:
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE BIKES FOR GCC RIDES.   If you want to enjoy bike riding for fun, invest in a modern road bike or hybrid and you will be much happier.

These bikes would be fine, with some repair, for commuting.  Remember, these bikes have been ridden by teenagers at a summer camp for about 15 years.

We are selling these bikes at relatively high prices because right now, one of the biggest fashion items among college age folks are vintage road bikes, from the 70's and 80's.  If you go downtown on Friday or Saturday night, you will see lots of vintage bikes parked near the nightclubs and dance halls.

You might want to drag your old road bike out of the garage and sell it to a college student.  (we will gladly take any old road bike donations).
