To any of you who have been thinking that it's about time to get that bike out and start enjoying the weather, this Sat. will be a good opportunity.

Fanning Springs State Park will be free for the day as it's hosting the following event:

EARLY SPRING GARDEN FESTIVAL
Date: Saturday, February 24, 2007. 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Description: The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs presents ?Florida Friendly Landscaping?. The focus of the day will be on Florida ?Water-Friendly? Living. Educational displays will teach water quality and quantity protection strategies to homeowners. Meet me at 9:45 am in the parking lot, close to the rest room location. We'll leave at 10am to bike to Chiefland. This is about a 20 mile ride. We leave no one behind and have an average pace of 12mph.
