I would like to remind everyone that riding trails that are wet or even slightly muddy causes trail damage, and I ask that you please do not ride the Rock trail when it is wet and/or when mud exists. Slipping and sliding through mud is fun but the damage caused to a trail is not worth it. We may try to get some signage out there soon but I wanted to send this email today.
Florida trails are much different in soil composition and topography that trails in the mountains. The combination of softer soils and flat conditions means that erosion and trail damage is greatly accelerated when riding wet & muddy trails in Florida.
On a positive note the heavy rains have really helped most of the lime rock roads. They are hard packed and little to no washboards. So when the trails are wet, if you don't ride on the road, at least you can enjoy riding and exploring the plethora of lime rock roads we have around here.
Thanks for helping with being good stewards of our trails.
