The trails work day at San Felasco Hammock
Preserve State Park, originally scheduled for tomorrow
(Sat, Oct 13) has been rescheduled for Sat Oct 20, 9 AM to noon.
This is due to the wet condition at the park, which has included
flooding near the maintenance area where equipment is stored. Please
consider volunteering on Oct 20, because due to the rainy summer, trail maintenance in a
number of areas is needed. The workday will be coordinated by Kevin
Mayer, and after the workday, lunch is provided. Bring small hand tools if you
have them (loppers, pruning shears, hand saws) and gloves, sunscreen, bug
repellent, water bottle, and good humor! Meet at the CSO building at park
headquarters by 9:00 AM (12720 NW 109th LN, Alachua, directions
below).
