The Freewheel Project is a nonprofit that aims to empower everyone who rides a bike, or wants to ride a bike, by providing cycling education, accessibility, and infrastructure. The Freewheel Project's building hosts an education-based low-cost bike shop, a bike collective, and a classroom. Volunteers are passionate about community outreach programs like: donating and repairing bikes for homeless individuals and children in low-income neighborhoods, teaching bike repair skills to underserved groups, and breaking down barriers of all kinds to cycling opportunities no matter who you are.
