Thank you, Dorothy, and everyone who has voted on so far. A few notes not mentioned in my email:

1.) Please make sure that you are clicking on the “Vote” tab and not creating a new entry. (See image)
2.) Votes must be cast from a computer. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t allow for votes from a phone.
3.) You can vote once a day, every day in August (and maybe win $100 for yourself!).

With 1,000+ members in GCC, we can easily win this for The Freewheel Project! Start voting today!

Thank you all for your help,
Kristen

I just voted for The Freewheel Project again, and they are getting killed by a couple of the other charities.  If you can, click the link and vote daily.  It only takes a second.

Subject: GCCMail: Help the The Freewheel Project win $1000 by voting on Facebook

GCC friends, I am asking for your help and calling on your love of bikes and competitive spirits to make sure that The Freewheel Project wins a $1000 grant as charity of the month in August to further their mission of empowering the culture of cycling in Gainesville.

The Freewheel Project is an awesome not-for-profit with a cool space on South Main St. that will feature a low-cost education-based bike shop, a bike collective, a classroom and a large outdoor space for all sorts of bike-based learning and fun. The Kickstand will be joining The Freewheel Project in bringing their history of service to the community. All sorts of community outreach is already happening or is proposed to lower any barriers for people to be involved in bike culture: bike repair and donation for kids in low-income neighborhoods, bike repair education for underserved groups, internship opportunities, introducing kids to competitive cycling opportunities, and more. The best way to change the culture in Gainesville is to have more people on bikes.

Vote everyday through the month of August! If Freewheel wins it will be because of GCC members. We can do this!

Click on the link, click on the vote tab and then click to vote on The Freewheel Project. Each day that you vote for The Freewheel Project in August, you enter for a chance to win $100. Win-win.

Thank you for your help!
