Hi fellow GCCers,

I am selling my Honda Element SUV because my two new recumbent trikes are very hard to transport in it.  It's a 2003 model in superb condition with a low, low mileage of 53,791.

This is a superb SUV for transporting bicycles, as well as shopping, commuting,  attaching to an RV (flat tow), hauling a trailer, and general all around use.  It is way below Kelley Blue Book price for a similar model.

The Element has a special floor that can be hosed down for cleaning.  With the two rear seats either raised up and attached to the ceiling (ingenious mechanism!), or completely removed (which can be done easily and quickly), it can accommodate your bicycles in locked door security. There are special racks made for storing 2 wheel bicycles in SUVs, or you can secure them with tie-downs to the anchors and hooks which are provided in the Element. The factory original equipment privacy glass allows changing clothes inside or camping. The Element's generous ground clearance allows for trouble free access over fairly rough terrain (read, San Felasco parking lot!). It also has a 2" trailer hitch and electrical connections for a trailer or for attaching a bike rack.

The price is $6995, well below Kelley Blue book, because I  wish to sell before I leave in a few weeks to cycle in Holland in France.

The full information on the Element is found on Craig's list:
