There are four vacancies on the local Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, a government advisory committee that reviews transportation planning. This committee has a voice in how roadways are designed and can help make our roads and city more bike friendly.
The committee meets once a month on a Thursday evening, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the county administration building at University Ave. and Main Street.
You will probably have between 30 minutes and 2 hours of homework each month, depending on how many documents and blueprints are sent to you.
If you are interested in being on the committee, call Mike Escalante at 955-2200. Or visit the North Central Florida Regional Planning Council. website
www.ncfrpc.org Right now, there are 4 vacancies and only one applicant, so you have an excellent chance of being appointed to the committee.
Please call soon, the deadline is early next week.
If you have questions, please E-mail me.
