The 11th annual Tour de Felasco, a 50-mile off-road bicycle tour (with a metric century option) is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2013. Experience areas of the park open to bikes only for the Tour, and this year's Tour may include an area not seen on previous rides.

Registration opens Monday, October 1 at 12:00 P.M. (noon) and is expected to fill quickly. Note this is a later opening time than previous years. In recognition and appreciation for the small number of riders who have participated in all 10 previous Tours, these veteran riders can register a day early on Sunday, September 30.

For registration, the Friends of San Felasco has again partnered with active.com. Registration is opening at noon to ensure active.com west coast-based tech support is available to quickly handle potential issues. The Friends of San Felasco will be available throughout the registration process. To report a problem, email info@sanfelascco.net.

To access the registration page, either click the following link or paste it into your browser: http://www.active.com/mountain-biking/alachua-fl/tour-de-felasco-2013

Please note that for security, active.com has set a 15-minute time-out period for registration. Similar to last year, you can register a group of riders. If you need to register more than 10 riders, you'll need to create more than one group, and each group is required to have a unique name. We recommend that you append a number to your group name, for example, rough riders 1 and rough riders 2. If you have questions, email info@sanfelasco.net.

Registration fee is $50 (plus an active.com process fee). As always, pre-ride snacks, sag stops, goodie bags, and a hot lunch will be provided. A long-sleeve t-shirt (designed by Julie Harris) is included, and you have the option to purchase additional merchandise, such as short-sleeve t-shirts and hoodies, previous Tour t-shirts, and bandanas with the San Felasco bicycle trail map.

If you attempt to register and find that registration is full, you can add your name to a waitlist. Email info@sanfelasco.net with the subject "Waitlist."

The Tour is sponsored by the Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO) and is the primary fundraiser benefiting San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park.

See you on January 12!
