All,

A bicycling-specific first aid course is being offered in Gainesville on 08/23/15!

You may find this to be a useful class if you are a ride leader, a cycle tourist, or if you volunteer (or hope to volunteer) for organized bike tours (Bike Florida, Safari, etc), or other cycling events where such as skill might be desirable.

Cycling, whether on or off road sometimes leads to accidents and injuries of varying severity, and it helps to know what to do in case of a medical emergency. If you'd like to feel a bit more comfortable rendering aid and assessing injuries after an accident while awaiting the arrival of EMS personnel, this class may be for you.

The class is 6 hours long, will address common on-road and off-road injury scenarios. The cost is $79. The class will be taught in Gainesville, and those who complete the class will be awarded a certificate of completion.   For more information, and to register, visit https://gatorcpr.enrollware.com/enroll?id=681189

There are 12 slots available. As a frequent cycling event SAG volunteer, I will be taking the class. Let me know if you'd like to join me.
