On what can best be described as a mildly warm and slightly humid day, over twenty people took to the streets in Brooker to test their mettle against the clock.  Several people set PR's today, two series leaders jerseys changed hands, and one person completely destroyed a previous course record.  But at the end of it all, everyone earned their own round of applause for coming out and trying their best, and Doug nearly came home with a new dog.

And the winners were:

Junior Merckx, winner: Jacob Vaes.

Little Swedish Girls on Black Bikes: Martina Spiess.

Adult Merckx: Shawn Gravois.

Aero Competitor: Derek Schanze.

Anything Goes: Team Fabulous (they claim they're Team Flawless, but they seem so fabulous).

Finally, I need to thank the following people for volunteering their time and support.  Doug Folkerth, for usually bringing a stopwatch (and at least being able to read mine today), Huan Dinh & Lambert Vaes for working the turn-around, Velvet Yates for keeping the dogs from running into the street as people were finishing the event, and of course the GCC for providing the prizes for this years series.

This is the last TT Doug, Matt, and I are hosting for 2012.  The series finale will be run by Bob Black next month, a week or two before the state TT championship in Olustee, FL.  I thank all of you who have participated this year, and I hope you have enjoyed it -- we will see you in 2013.

Sincerely,

The Committee to Avoid Responsibility
