Hi Folks,
Out for a ride yesterday my wife and I noted that there is a new trailside bathroom now open in Florahome, about 7 miles east of Twin Lakes Park in Keystone, approx. 9.5 miles east of Keystone Heights town, and a third of a mile west of the Kangaroo station
on Hwy. 100. There are some benches there, a water fountain, and a stand for working on your bike, plus an integral air pump attached to the stand. The bathroom itself is well designed and substantial. This is a much needed amenity for this lovely trail.
Be careful though; we saw 4 snakes on the trail yesterday enjoying the sun and reluctant to give up their position. Maybe they were from the frozen north visiting relatives for Easter?

PS On Saturday I noticed in High Springs that the railroad line south was being dismantled, with ties and tracks removed, and the bed covered with fill dirt. I believe that this is the old CSXT line that goes south to Newberry. If that's the case, it
would be a great rail trail addition, but I have read nothing about any such plans. Does anyone know about this?
