We have been asked to put together a couple of training rides for 12 to 15 year old's and wanted to see if there is interest from other GCC members.

The objective will be to teach them to ride properly in a group, learn rotations, how to call obstructions and general group ride etiquette.  James Thompson who leads the Developers ride has offered to teach!!

Riders should be able to ride at a steady 14+ miles per hour for about 18 (ish) miles.  They should have proper road bikes and be competent cyclists.

As always, helmets are obligatory and junior riders should be accompanied on the ride by a parent or guardian.  Flat repair equipment is recommended.

We propose to meet at the Rochelle Trail Head on the Hawthorne Trail at 8:30 am on August 12th.  We will ride to Hawthorne and back which is the flat part of the trail and about 18 miles round trip.

Please let me know if you would be interested.

The ultimate objective is to form a junior MS150 team for the Cycle to the Shore event in 2013
