Effective today (Feb. 16th), a portion of the Downtown Connector Trail will be closed, and bicycle and pedestrian traffic detoured around the closure, due to tree removal as part of sandhill habitat restoration that includes removal of non-native trees.
Be aware that you will be unable to remain on the paved trail for about one week while tree removal is ongoing. Trail users will be diverted onto SE 22nd ST Ave and onto SE 15th ST. (There is a map of the detour on the webpage listed below).
