Registration is open for CyclingSavvy, a safe cycling class for adults who want to ride more confidently on the road. This is a great class for current or prospective cycle-commuters and cycle tourists, those who want to travel by bike beyond the reach of paved bike trails and sidewalks, to go everywhere you want to go!
This is a rare opportunity to be able to take the course here rather than having to travel to Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, or any of the other US cities that have their own CyclingSavvy program. Both beginning and experienced riders are welcome. We will all learn safe bike handling skills and rules of the road. We will all go on an instructor-led Tour of Gainesville during which we will drive our bikes on roads that present all sorts of traffic challenges.
The 3-part class will take place on Friday night, 03/20 from 6-9 p.m., and all day on either Saturday, 03/21 or Sunday, 03/22. Total cost is $75.
