Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been developing a new web application to do an online Ride Schedule for the Club. The initial capabilities are now implemented, and you’ve been seeing the daily posting to GCCMail for a few days now. The same calendar is available on the Ride page in the Members area, but is always current. When you are viewing the Ride Schedule, if you have Javascript enabled, you’ll get a “tooltip” popup with full information about the ride. You can also click to go to a web page with the same info.
Rides are posted to the Schedule from the Ride page in the Members Area. If you are a Group Captain or Ride Leader, you will have a Post Ride button under your Group listing. PLEASE read the directions on the Post page before posting; the Schedule presents a lot of general data in the header that you don’t have to remember to type out each time you post. In fact, many posts will not include any additional verbiage. If you have any difficulty posting a ride, please email me or call 378-7063 (but read the directions first!).
If you don’t want to wait for the 3 pm posting, you can elect to receive an email each time a ride is posted for your group. Click the My Membership button under your group and select the option. It’s just as easy to turn off.
The general public no longer has access to our GCCMail archives. They can now see the next ride scheduled for a particular group by going to the group’s detail web page from the main web site. (That same page comes up when you click the Info button in a ride listing.)
