Dear GCC Friends:

As you know the City Commission will soon vote on the final design details for the section of NW 8th Ave near Westside Park.

Two City Commissioners continue to advocate for reverting NW 8th Avenue to its previous 4-lane drag strip configuration.  You are invited to participate in the following survey that's been created by a group of local citizens:

Although clearly not a scientifically valid survey, it still provides an opportunity to express your views on the subject, since one of the questions allows free text comments.

The survey is anonymous, but if you wish to identify your self in any manner, please feel free to do so. 

This could be providing your name & address, or simply identifying yourself as a city resident. 

And if you know which city commission district you live in or your voting precinct, please include that. 

I also encourage you to share this with your neighbors, friends & family. 

Deadline: The City Commission is currently scheduled to vote on 8th Ave at their December 4th meeting.  All survey results need to be in before then. 

Finally, another way to let the commission know what you want is to email them directly at this address: citycomm@cityofgainesville.org

It doesn't matter if you've already sent them an email; reminding them of your opinion again can't hurt.
