We will leave the Chevron (43rd/53rd) on Tuesday evening at EXACTLY 6 PM. The “A” riders will be leaving at 6:05 PM. What we plan on doing for the next several weeks will be:
Tuesdays we will do the Mebane hill route, nice 39 miles look that should get us back well before dark. Here is the route (we will actually start from the Chevron Station) http://connect.garmin.com/course/1224715
Our goal is to arrive back at the Chevron at about the same time, so that we can all socialize before we all go home.
Pace will be +/- 20 MPH,
This ride is for anyone that is working on base miles, and you are interested in true tempo miles and:
Would like to learn proper etiquette while riding in a pace line
Would like to actually enjoy talking to others in the ride
There WILL NOT be any shenanigans, until the last part of the ride (then all bets are offJ )
Mt. Bikers are most welcome, although I strongly suggest that you do bring a road bike. This is a super way to build leg strength for the upcoming race season.
I am going to plan on doing various routes (these will vary between 35-40 miles) for our Thursday 6 PM Chevron Rides, So here is the Thursday route: http://connect.garmin.com/course/1224745 This is about 35 miles and very flat, so it should be fun.
All GCC rules apply. I suggest you add a Blinkie - we should be home well before dark, but just in case.
Look forward to seeing some new faces on the road.
Sincerely,
Doug
