GCC's Hokey Pokey Group will ride the Rochelle-Fifield-Micanopy loop on Saturday, May 12.  Riders should meet at the Rochelle parking lot at 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. ride start.

Following the ride, riders may want to visit the Windsor Zucchini Festival, which is a genuine small town festival, lots of fun!

This ride will be on roadways with cars.  We will start east on the rail trail, turn south on CR 325, then go west on CR 346 and visit the River Styx.  We will regroup in Micanopy, head north on CR 234 and visit Florida's fourth governor.

Everyone is welcome to come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Rochelle:   Go east on University Avenue, go over Waldo Road.  About 1/4 mile east of Waldo Road, take the right fork in the road, which is State Road 20.  Go about 5 miles east on SR 20, and cross the bridge over Prairie Creek.  About 1/4 mile past the bridge, turn right onto County Road 2082.  about 1/2 mile, the Rochelle parking lot will be on the right, at the intersection of CR 2082 and CR 234.
