Ride leaders may want to know that the annual Windsor Zucchini Festival is Saturday, May 12 in Windsor, which is on the east side of Newnans Lake, on CR 234 in between State Road 20 (Hawthorne Road) and SR 26.

 

You may want to route your ride away from Windsor because of traffic congestion, or make the Festival a destination.  

 

The Zucchini Festival is a genuine small town festival with lots of activities, vendors, music, and lots of food, with  zucchini in all forms including zucchini ice cream.   There is a Fun Run, and the crowning of the Duke of Zuke and the Zuqueenie.

 

Recommended parking for the festival is south of Windsor just off CR 234 at the  Newnans Lake boat ramp.  It is a short walk to the festival and there usually is a shuttle bus available.
