Alachua County Celebrates National Bike Month

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL  -  The public is invited to join the Alachua County  Board of County Commissioners in declaring the month of May as National Bike Month in Alachua County, Florida.  The proclamation will be on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Alachua County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street Gainesville.

National Bicycle Month is an opportunity to promote health and wellness in the County, spread awareness of bicycling opportunities in our community, and welcome tourist to experience our beautiful scenery, many parks, and scenic country trails and roads.

May is National Bike Month, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists.
