All Developers and Those Who Join Us,

I failed to appoint mentors to the new riders on the Developers ride last week, which mostly resulted in our wreck.  Mentoring is the fundamental feature of the Developers Ride philosophy and methodology.  That will not happen again.  Each new rider will always have an experienced and pro-active mentor on every ride.

With a record 34 total riders, we have some growing pains.  I hope no one is scared away.  These things happen on all the rides, but I do expect to have a higher standard of safety on our ride to accommodate new riders.

We also will begin to do some pre-ride drills with new riders before we get on the bike, and before we get on the big roads.

It was also suggested that the faster ride leave first--no hare and hound and dangerous passing sections.

Thanks for making this one of the biggest and teaching-est rides in the area, among a diverse group of GCC rides that are widely acclaimed by visitors and new residents to be the best in the country.

Keep the Rubber Side Down,
