First:

The caterer (Adam’s Rib) is going to need a head count by mid-week.  Please RSVP very soon if you plan on eating the main course at the picnic on Saturday, May 5.  If you’ve deleted the announcement email, there’s a button on the News page in the Members Area.

Second:

I’ve heard from people who plan on showing up at the trailhead at San Felasco Preserve State Park.  There won’t be any food there!  The picnic is at the San Felasco Park, a City of Gainesville park just north of the TV 20 studios off of NW 43rd St, about a half mile from the Chevron station ride start.

The park is a beautiful enclave with around three miles of nature trails, an interpretive center, and a picnic/playground.  There are twenty parking spots in the park, so we expect to need to park cars along the entrance road, head in, on the north side of the road.   If you can carry your side dish on your bike and live in the NW, consider riding to the picnic.

Third:

We still need a volunteer to stay with our picnic stuff at the park from 8 am until riders start returning.  We’d also like someone to take charge of parking as people start driving in, probably starting around 10 am.  Reply or call Roger at 378-7063 if you can do one of these things.
