Sunrise Ride

MEET: At the Chevron station <http://gccfla.org/ridelocnw.html> on the corner of NW 43rd St and 53rd Ave.

PARK: In the Chevron station, along NW 43rd St.
Start at the north end and work south.
Do not park in the slots alongside the station or along NW 53rd Ave.
Please watch where you are standing; do not block the flow of traffic going to the pumps.

Depart at 7:00 AM...sharp!

THE PLAN: The sun will rise at 6:47 this Saturday, thus allowing us to bump up the ride time to 7am. SUNRISE RIDES WILL TAKE PLACE AT 7:00 FROM NOW UNTIL EARLY AUGUST! We'll be doing our "almost regular" ride. I mapped the route on "Map My Ride":

For any interested Sunrisers, there will be a shorter route/turn-around for those who will be attending "Susie's Run". We'll be able to make it to Westwood Middle School for the 9:00 start for this 5K that supports Spinal Cord Injury research. More info here:

THE PACE: Usual Sunrise rules. Overall Average speed = 19-21 mph, regroup at most turns, no speed limit once we hit 441 on the way in. (Back to the Chevron by ~9:00am)


THE LOWDOWN: By getting out earlier, the Sunrise rides offer less traffic, less wind, less precipitation and great company. There are no rest stops, thus maximizing our ride time. Get a 2+ hour ride in and still get home in time to take advantage of your Saturday.
