The Saddle Tramps will ride Sunday, April 22nd, from Micanopy on a route of about 31 miles.  We will park in our new area, across from the Tuscawilla Preserve at the parking lot for the Interpretive Center.  (Sunday in Micanopy is the BIG day for merchants and they prefer we don't take up their parking spots.)

To reach our new parking area, drive to the end of Cholokka Blvd., past the shops of downtown Micanopy, past the trees where we normally park, and at the point where the road appears to end, go left down the street about one-half (½) mile.  Look for the parking area on the left hand side of the street.

This can also be reached off of Hwy 441 by driving past the turn-off into downtown Micanopy at the blinking yellow light and taking the first right turn past the turnoff/sign indicating C.R. 346 to the left.  Proceed about ½ mile up this road and parking will be on your right.  Due to impending rain in the morning, we will meet there at 1:00 p.m. for a 1:15 p.m. departure.  If the rain looks like it will persist, look for an email with updated departure time at around noon Sunday.

This ride should take about 3½ hours.  We'll travel first to Boardman and Orange Lake, then through McIntosh going west on 320 to Flemington, where there are bathrooms and a nearby small convenience store.  From there we'll head back to Micanopy on 329/234 where there is an ice cream shop for those needing nourishment prior to heading back to the parking lot.  This will be a training ride for those of us who will be touring next month.
