Hey GCC Team,
As some of you know I'm off on a big ride in Europe in a few days. Why did I choose to ride from London to Paris? Well, not only for the wine, food, countryside, exercise… I’m a sucker for a good cause. There are many causes I believe in, and this one doesn’t require me to grow a nasty moustache’. This one is supporting research for rare and devastating children’s diseases. This hits closer to home than you might think. Here are two families – near and dear to our hearts - that are living with very sick children. They are in large part an inspiration and the reason we ride.
Joey – a classmate of our son Daniel has a rare and aggressive form of cancer and has exhausted conventional therapies. He is undergoing various trials. You can sign this petition to help him get access to experimental immunotherapy and learn more HERE
Nate - Is a 6yr old brother to two wonderful sisters. They live right down the street from us. He has a rare mitochondrial disease and is a champion in life. His family and us are not his only fans – his passion for life is so infectious that he’s the new poster boy for the Children’s Miracle Network. You can learn more about him HERE
No parent should have to endure such challenges. No child should have to suffer through these experiences. Unfortunately that’s not the reality we live in. To help show support to those families and children is important to me and my family.
By supporting Action.org and this ride, we help raise awareness and fund research to help prevention of diseases, and provide funds that help care for those that need it most.
Please help with a small donation to a great cause! Any amount will do (seriously) and help us reach our goal of $10,000. We have raised over $9,000 - not bad for just 3x guys!!!
As a small token of appreciation, anyone donating to my chose to receive a delicious package of Stahl’s Balls. These are home-made, paleo-friendly, cliffbar-like, nutritious and delicious snacks. Or, I'm happy to match your donation with a donation to a cause you support.
