It is not looking promising for this evening - 90% chance of rain and 17 mph winds are not conducive to a pleasant ride.

Will make a final call at 5:30.

MS 150 Training Ride - WEST

Thursday 6:00 p.m. meet at Bike Works in Tioga, 6:10 departure

About 25 miles at 16 m.p.h. no drop.

We'll start these rides out at a slower pace than we finished last year to encourage new riders to join us.  We will slow at junctions to ensure that everyone is in the group.

As we progress, the rides will get longer and slightly faster.

This ride is open to anyone regardless of your team affiliation or even if you are not doing the MS ride.  This will be a weekly ride, weather dependent, throughout the summer.

This year there will be a Bike Works MS 150 team.  We expect that we will have two distinct groups at the actual event, but that both groups will stay together.  One group will be doing the basic ride each day (86 miles day 1 and 64 miles day 2) at about 15/16 mph.  The other group will be slightly faster, about 17/18 mph and will be aiming to do the century on day 1.  There may also be the odd maverick who breaks out at their own pace!

Follow this link to join the Bike Works MS 150 Cycle to the Shore Team.  And, don't forget to get your hotels booked!!!
