Hi everyone, it's time for a week four update!

At the moment, we have 215 members on our team, but there is plenty of opportunity to grow this number.  I urge everyone to politely ask friends, spouses, neighbours, etc, to join GCC's team, and help contribute to our team's lead of the National Mileage Challenge.

It is important that EVERY MEMBER LOGS THEIR MILES FOR MAY ASAP.  With the month of June just two days away, everyone needs to log all of their May miles by May 31st, in order for them to count. May miles logged beyond May 31st do not count :(

Onto the statistics:

1. Number one team in the Nation - Gainesville Cycling Club.

2. 215 riders now registered on the club's team, up 17 from last week.  Let's keep growing the team, spread the word!

3. Three riders in the Top 20 nationally.

4. Miles / Kms clocked since May 1 (at 9:25pm EST) - 71,472 Miles / 114,355 Kilometres.

Special Mentions

1. Ed Pavelka has rejoined the team for 2014. Ed is a former editor of Bicycling Magazine, VeloNews, and numerous other publications and articles.  Additionally, he has completed the world's best known Brevet, Paris -> Brest -> Paris, multiple times.  Welcome aboard Ed!

2. Many of the ladies on the team are punching out the miles, many of them as part of their regular cycling routine.  Mentions for Mrs K-Dogg, Sue Bowers, Jodi Schulz, Diana Nelson (Team Florida) Gretta Cullen and Judy Gardner (riding a regular bike and hand cycle).  Nice one ladies!

Thank you to everyone who is participating. We need EVERYONE to contribute, no matter how long or short your rides / commutes are.  Every mile / point counts.

Finally, prizes CAN be won by participating.  There will be a prize drawing at the end of each month. You have to be in it to win it!
