A few of you may have seen on the GCC Facebook page that Commissioner Lauren Poe is hosting a "Ride With The Commish" to celebrate National Bike Month (https://www.facebook.com/events/643720762371449/).

The commissioner is hoping to learn more about the needs of cyclists in the City of Gainesville. This will also be a great opportunity to meet with other cycling advocates from around the county that have been working on making cycling better. Representatives from Bike Florida, Gainesville Citizens for Active Transit, and the City Government will be on hand, too.

The schedule for the ride is as follows:

9am: Meet-up For Coffee at Volta (48 SW 2nd St.)
10am: Ride departs from City Hall (200 E. University Ave)

11:30am: Estimated finish at Depot Park

The ride is at a leisurely and educational pace with a few stops along the way following a similar route to which we rode with the League of American Bicyclists when they were in town a few weeks back.
